 | The potential for climbing routes around Quoc Oai seems promising for a crag so close to the city. However, the possible lines are often heterogeneous, the rock is dirty, and the local authorities aren't the friendliest bunch. Bouldering does not bother anybody, and it would be unfortunate to lose that possibility if the People’s Committee decided to kick us out. Despite all this, however, we expect to open new routes around here soon. |

 | Chua Thay (la pagode du Maître en vf) est une pagode renommée pour les Vietnamiens et les touristes. Le Maitre, c’est Tù Dao Hanh (1072-1116). Après des études en Inde, il s’en alla méditer dans cette Pagode, à l’ombre du mont Sài Son. Le Moine actuel de Chua Thay nous a chaleureusement accueilli, et après nous avoir converti au Bouddhisme, nous l’avons converti à l’escalade. L’alliance du baudar et du goupillon… |

 | Après l’échec cuisant de Do Son en terme de grimpe, les Dong Chi (les Kamarades en vf) de VietClimb ont décidé de mettre les bouchées doubles. Double en terme de distance, de réputation balnéaire, et incomparable à Do Son. Direction Sam Son, dans la province de Thanh Hoa, distante d’environs 150 km de Hanoi (au Sud). C’est écrit dans le Yi King : "notable for its pine forest and its enormous granite boulders". Cela tombe très bien. |

 | Don Son est une plage nordiste réputée et courue par les Vietnamiens peut-on apprendre, à 20 km au Sud de Haiphong. Très bien. Quelques rochers doivent traîner aux alentours, même si pour presque le même trajet (environs 2h de trajetr de plus), il est vraiment plus judicieux de grimper dans la Baie d' Halong ou à Cat Ba. Mais bon, ya un "spécial Plage Hanoi 08" sous presse, et Do Son semble être le Touquet hanoien. |
