| Hanoi, Urban Indoor Style |

Hanoi is all this and so much more… Indoor climbing in HanoiAt the moment, there is no proper indoor climbing place in Hanoi. The main obstacles preventing a proper wall from being built are the lack of time (our time that is) and renting prices. If you are interested in this kind of project, in opening a bar or a gym, please contact us. We are eager and willing to support such an adventure: 300 handholds wait in boxes ready for mounting, plans have already been designed, contacts with the Ministry of sports were taken… But we lack time. The Phuong Mai wallOn a house-top terrace in Phuong Mai street, there stands a little wall, built of cheap wood in a cramped space, reminiscent of a Slovenia-behind-the-Iron-Curtain aesthetic, this little wall stands as a proud testament to man’s desire to climb, no matter the conditions. Because of the space’s dimensions, wood panels were fixed to the wall at an aggressive 45° slope. All of the handholds are small – why? Because bigger handholds require more resin and resin is expensive, and the climber is poor by definition. The poorer you are, the smaller handholds you must be able to stick to. C’est la vie.
During fast periods, sessions are organized twice a week. If interested contact us: vietclimb [at] gmail.com VideoGroovy baby... MapView Larger Map |
